These sensors use a magnetic reed-switch system to detect intrusion. When the magnet is separated from the sensor (when armed), the transmitter immediately sends a wireless alarm signal to the system's control panel. These compact, low-profile sensors install in minutes! Just mount them along the door or window frame. Each transmitter requires a 3V lithium battery (included). Each transmitter requires a 3-volt DL123A lithium battery (included), which typically lasts four years. When the battery power is running low, you'll get a low battery message on the security system's LCD keypad, identified by the zone and transmitter number. Each transmitter uses 2 points out of the wireless receiver's 16-point capacity.
