Its cast aluminum frame also has large vents for an improved thermal management system. Its voice coils are resistant to high temperatures, so you won't have any problems with overheating issues. Back Plate and Pole Piece the cooler a sub is, the longer it’ll play. KICKER’s UniPlate™ back plate and pole piece are a single, solid unit, which allows heat to move away from the motor. Venting below the spider allows even more air to move, and heat to escape.
