47KEYLOC | KEYLOC® Smart Line-Out Converter

Brand: Kicker
Product Code: 47KEYLOC
Categories:  Converters

This revolutionary, DSP (digital signal processor)-controlled, line-output converter automatically detects the frequency response and phase of your factory stereo system, and then allows you to integrate into a more fun, modern entertainment setup!

SIGNAL RESTORATION

In the pursuit to get the best sound possible from your stereo system that features both factory and aftermarket gear, KEYLOC’s patent-pending KEY™ algorithm automatically detects and analyzes crossovers, EQ, time delay, and all-pass filters present, and then it will level-match the left and right audio channels. Once analyzed, it corrects these various filters to give you the smoothest frequency response possible, giving you a clean, uncolored audio signal for your aftermarket gear.

HEAR IT YOURSELF

To hear what you’ve done, cycle the EQ correction on and off with a single push of the KEYLOC’s “KEY” button – hear the before and after! Additionally, if KEYLOC detects any all-pass filters or factory time delay, you can choose to defeat the correction (from the menu) and keep the imaging of the factory source unit. By keeping the correction filter active, KEYLOC will counteract either of these factory effects so you can use an external audio processor to dial in a one-seat tune for the ultimate sound experience.

FIND THE FREQUENCY

News flash! Factory audio systems don’t always deliver full-range signal on every speaker wire. This makes it tough to hook up an aftermarket amp and get the sound you wanted – until now. Attach the factory speaker wire to the KEYLOC input and play the FREE recommended test tones (below). Then read the KEYLOC’s LEDs – you’ll instantly know what frequencies are available from any particular pair of speaker wires (Low 20-200Hz / Mid 200-2kHz / High 2k-20kHz).
